Default Scammer alert

Anybody ever heard of or done business with [email protected]. I was given this email address by a fellow barner, alexrodney001 I sent a message to carpart733 about the part Im looking for

The guy sent a picture of the part but will not answer any questions to verify that it is an original authentic 1932 Ford part vs a reproduction. I asked "How do you know it's an original Ford part and not a reproduction?"

His reply, quote "Because I'm the one selling it I know what I'm selling so once it gets to you you see it's the original" unquote.

I usually trust people, but I feel like I'm dealing with a greased snake.

After about twenty messages back and forth, he provided his name and address

Vivian Ader
45386 Montmorency Dr
Macomb, MI 48044

Google that WOW

Mar 17, 2022 — It was cashed at PNC bank. This is the thief who the check was written out and sent to: Vivian Ader 45386 Montmorency Dr Macomb, MI 48044.

Still in business, probably a high honors graduate of an infamous university.

Hey Tom ....During this past year or so, it seems like I have run across some person or thing with the identifier including "carpart", with different numbers attached. Always turns-out that there is a problem of some kind that pops-up, even while just trying to look at his parts.

I believe that if he was as friendly to me as he has been with you, I'd just have to invite him to eat sh-crap and die! The Coopman

That is the key to good relations, in any business. There is a corner c-store, deli, gas stop near me. Having never spoken to the owner one evening, I asked what hour he opened. He went into tirade about the hours he had to keep. Close to a rant.

It's more than twice as far to another stop, but I don't bother him.

He answered a wanted add on here , to me over the weekend, I almost sent some money his way , and then thought maybe I better do a google search and it came back here, woo that was close. He give me the same address and a funky phone number that doesn't connect directly to him.

Hi Ryan,
Can you please explain how/why a user with zero or 1 post can see and/ or respond to any postings in the wanted forums? I would think that these forums could be locked from view or response to users with xx posts or some other threshold. Just curious as I been contacted by these scammers on every “wanted” ad that I have created on this site.

Thank you
Patrick

One common denominator between scammers of all sorts is that they generally use an email address with a name or moniker of some sort followed by several numbers. This allows them a plethora of disposable addresses and names with never a backward look at addresses that have been banned or otherwise called out as scammers. As with most things, not always the case, but it is one easy red flag to watch for.

I had the same thing happen on a WTB ad. I did a google image search on the picture he sent and found itin an old outdated Ebay listing from a different part of the country.
