Clutch noise
After installing the transmission, I depress the clutch petal and there is a knocking noise, what causes this? I don't know what to adjust, it works fine, I drove it thru the yard, here is a short video, thanks for any ideas!

Re: Clutch noise
I'd bet on a worn or stuck pilot bearing in the flywheel You didn't mention whether you replaced it before installing the transmission.

Re: Clutch noise
It might be a flyweight rattling in there if it's a Long type clutch. Something sounds to be wobbling or making light contact with the housing somewhere or both. I wonder what ir would do at higher rpm?

Re: Clutch noise
Thanks for your comments, I fixed it! No I never replaced the pilot bearing, clutch, or pressure plate, only put the rebuilt transmission back in, does have a new TO bearing. The noise had something to do with the starter, after just a few cranks, this 6v starter broke the spring, the torque and slamming on 12v is way too much, I had a good 12v starter that just needed a new drive and clean up, so got it installed and all is quiet now, and the starter turns the engine over real easy, I'm happy that is all it was!
