Re: Jet size on a 390
We have to make a lot of assumptions here. The Autolite 2100 was common to them but Holley made 2V carbs as well. Year model and type of vehicle would help a lot. Ford made these engines a long time. Keep in mind there were triple deuce set ups as well.
If you have the little tag then this might help. https://www.carburetor-blog.com/know...ase/2100-jets/ |

Re: Jet size on a 390
There were three carbs listed for light trucks in that list I posted. A person need the parts book information to confirm which was used on the 1969 F100 with the 390 FE since there were 302, 360, and 390 V8 engines available I don't have a Ford parts book for the 68 to 72 Ford pickups. The list has the C9TF-A/-J/-K carbs listed. The smaller jets would likely be 302 application but I can't confirm that. The largest jet size is the C9TF-J but the K may be set up for higher altitudes. That's why a person need the original parts manual. It usually indicates things like this. The left front leg of the mounting flange would likely have 9T J on it if it's a C9TF-J. With no ID on it at all then it could be a late replacement or it could be from any number of different Ford 2V applications. The 2100 carb was used a very long time and a lot of different applications.

Re: Jet size on a 390
Unless one has the actual ASSEMBLY TAG, it is a guessing game as to what period and calibration the carb is. Usually a re-builder will remove any ID so as not to confuse anyone trying to rebuild it for a certain application/calibration as a hi-volume rebuild becomes one-fits-all unless rebuilt and returned as the original application..
Not all 2100's are the same. It might well be a 2100D or 2150. You will have to jet it for the actual installation, that being plug reading or an exhaust gas analyzer. And pre-1964 carbs take HOLLEY jets.

Re: Jet size on a 390
Maybe just try it the way it is. Good chance it has the original jets, which would get you in the ball park. If lean or rich, then worry about it and increase/decrease the jet size if needed.

Re: Jet size on a 390
Just an example for a 1969 F-150 390 F-2 PARTS LIST -
SEE ILL BELOW There were six OEM carbs and a later four service replacement carbs just for that particular application. Just two CARB PL's are shown -

Re: Jet size on a 390
The jpg file is likely to large on bit count. A person can reduce the file size on MS Paint without reducing the aspect ratio. It basically just reduces the pixel count resolution. Some photo files just have way too many mega-bits for this web site to accept them. Ryan notes that in the upload section of the attachments in the Go Advanced posting set up and options.

Re: Jet size on a 390
There were likely more than 20 different configurations of the 2100 type plus the new reproductions. They are being reproduced for the 60s & 70s cars. If you can find someone that has a set of American wire gauge drills as well as fractional sizes then a person can find the one closest to .054" and carefully see it it fits in the jet. Don't drill it though. It will ruin the jet. They have to be reamed to size if they are modified and that's only assuming that it's smaller than what is required for the FE V8.

The jets not having any ID on them makes me suspect as to the quality of the CARB -
