Picked up a nice cowl today
This is a cowl I bought and drug home today. This is going on my chassis I bought a few weeks ago.For those of you tuning in late, the chassis was bought on fleabay for the Buy It Now price and the owner was insisting I owe him $200 in paypal fees. Well, all worked out fine and the chassis runs great. I have been driving it around town on a box ! So I made a few calls and got this truck cowl from "out West". It is in really super condition and will be a great start on my huckster or speedster project build." Doin' something A every day !" makes me a happy guy DD

Re: Picked up a nice cowl today
Looks to be in very good shape. I'm no expert on body parts, but anything that doesn't have rot at the bottom looks good to us here in the Northeast! Good luck with your build.

Looks nice! How much did you spend on the cowl if you don't mind me asking?

Awesome! Thanks for the update and we will be looking forward to seeing what becomes of it! I vote for a speedster but either choice will turn out great I'm sure.

Yes, it's definately "not from around here"...here being Pennsylvania. Solid through and through. I happily paid $350. He threw in the visor and dash with the deal. I also got a hood and a pair of 31 splash sheilds, but they were extra. I really like that UPS C-Cab idea...and I love commercial vehicles. It's all fun !

Re: Picked up a nice cowl today
That was a deal for $350. I got a cowl with the top of the pillars cut off for $250. And mine was from somewhere near here cause the bottoms were rotted and the sides were all dented.

Re: Picked up a nice cowl today
Now is the time to check out the Inside of the Tank for Rust and Holes !! Better to remove it now and find out. After the metal is cleaned off of the rust on the cowl and tank, and primed, its easy to install a New Cowl Welting, and Paint it before you install it on your Build. Check out the Photos, I had to do extra Masking to Paint the Cowl.

Anybody got a good visor for a 30 Briggs TS they'd be willing to part with?
