Stock air cleaner?
Anyone have pictures of an original 1941 air cleaner? Were there more than one variation offered for different models during the same year? I thought mine was correct but after reading something online I'm questioning it now. Thanks

Re: Stock air cleaner?
It's definitely not that one. It looks like this one.

Zeke3, that number is interesting because Ford still designated 9600 to air cleaners when i did flow testing in the 80s & 90s .

Re: Stock air cleaner?
my 2 cents worth from what i can work out there was several different suppliers and ford used what was at hand at the time so different cars from different plants had different filters as well as there was several options for heavy duty conditions

Re: Stock air cleaner?
Some things never change, that is the beauty of the Ford part numbering system. The manufacturer I worked for had a random part numbering system, like GM, no relationship between the part number and what the part was. Just a different way of doing things.
