Replacing fuel shut off problem

Hey guys! I am tryin to remove my fuel shut off valve on a 29 Tudor. It is very hard to turn the valve when tryin to remove it, and it has me second guessing the direction for removal. Any ideas/trick of the trade would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have left & right hand lug nuts on the Michelin disc wheels on my wife's Model T Fire Chief's rig - I was directing my statement at the O.P.'s situation.

Don't forget to drain the gas out of the tank before removing the valve, also raise the RH side of the car a bit.

Good Morning...Depending on the type of wrench you are using, a pipe extension will allow you to put more torque on the valve under the dash without having to hammer on it or try to jerk the wrench...steady increasing pressure will usually finally make it move...Ernie in Arizona

AA Trucks have left handed threads on the dually rear wheels . And yes, Chrysler products also had left handed threads on one side and right handed threads on the other.
