I've read several ways to adjust a serpentine belt and they are differ. Mine has adjustable links on alt and ac, how much tension should there be? Some say twist it from side to side should get 1/2" some say 1/4" what you all say? Al

Check a late model with a serpentine system for the amount of "twist" it has. Tighten until the "squeak" goes away with the AC on full and every electrical load turned on?
