Default Condenser removal on '30 Model A Sport Coupe

Hi folks,
Is there a secret to removing the condenser? It is an original distributor set up. No upgrades. Condenser is at the base of the distributor body, held in place by a single screw. I didn't want to do any damage so was careful. But this thing is stuck. I couldn't find anything online in regards to it, so thought I'd try here. Took the screw out & it just wont come out by hand. I was hesitant to put a pair of pliers to it. Any help is appreciated.

Use the pliers. When replacing don't drop the screw.

Did you take both screws out?

First I take out the screw by the exhaust, then the screw in the hole on the other side, keep screwdriver on the screw, don't remove it, pull out condenser, put in new, get screw started, but before fully tightening start the manifold side screw, before I got the A&L burn out proof one I got quick enough to do it at a light, now that I have the A&L one haven't touched it in over 30 years

Got both screws out. Just stuck in there, As long as I can grab it with pliers & not do damage I can pull it out. Just wanted to be sure. No idea why it is stuck. Feels loose to the touch. Very strange. Old cars are fun! Thanks for the quick response to all.

Loose but won't come out? That is odd. I don't know the condition of your distributor, but I would try taking the lower plate out as that is the only thing the condenser could get hung up on. Plus you can actually see what is going on then.
