Difference between early V8 pitman arms
How do the '37-'40 car/'37-'41 pickup (78- prefix part #), '41 car (11A- prefix) and '42-'48 car (21A- prefix) pitman arms differ? Which one is longest and which is shortest?

Lamar, I think they are the same length. The difference is some have the drag link going in from the top and some have thedrag link going in from the bottom.

Re: Difference between early V8 pitman arms
The 78- pitman arm is 6 inches center hole to center hole. I used to have a 21A and it was shorter. My feelings were as the car got heavier and the steering box remained the same, the steering got slower so the wheel was not as heavy.
