Default 2nd tierod question

I'm installing a new tie rod and ends. The original one was missing. What is the length I should start out with on the initial assembly?

I don't think it makes any difference. I just screw each one the same number of turns. Install them, adjust the spring length and cotter them. Then just set the toe-in to 1/16".Remember each end has opposite thread.[ R and L]
