Default Did different bodies have different profies?

The passenger door on our 1928 Tudor is an obvious replacement. However its profile does not quite match the body. Therefore it is a little tough to close fully. I can probably move things into place as I do this winter's maintenance so this is just a matter of interest.

Photos will not be available for a little while, sorry.

Don't forget that the door above the belt line is adjustable by bending relative to the lower door section. Then there are striker to jamb tricks, both in and out and up and down. Hinges being bent affect everything as well as the #1 body to frame bolt with its shims at the lower cowl.

How about "Briggs" body versus "Murray" body?

All 28/29 tudor and coupe doors were the same. Something seems to be wrong either with the body or more likely the door if the door doesn't fit right. Sometimes doors get sprung or warped if the wind catches the door and breaks the check strap or the check strap is missing. Sometimes it is necessary to use your knee and a block of wood to "bend" or twist the door to make it align correctly.
