Question B Head Gasket

Can one buy a copper clad B head gasket with white filler someplace or are they all composite now?

I believe they are all composite now. But, I believe that is what they used back then so why can't you use it now? Maybe use some spray copper coat?

Call me a fuddy-duddy but I like the look of the copper showing inbetween the head and the block.

I used a high temp paint I got from KBS coatings and made the grey composite white. I carefully lifted the copper and painted it back from the edges. That was over a year ago and it still looks pretty good.

You can slip a piece of paper on either side of the filler to shield the copper, then use white out or spray paint. I used white out.
