Default Gasket

Ports again. Removed the sediment bowl and cleaned it out. Drained the reaming gas from the tank. Did not se any particles or chunks of rust. Will get fresh alcohol free gas tomorrow. I have a wix 33039 fuel filter coming tomorrow. Gasket got delayed so I bought some fel-pro cork-rubber sheet 1/8 in thick to make a gasket. Do you think this will work with the rubber in it? I do have some regular cork but a tad thicker than 1/8 in. Don't want to use cork-rubber if rubber will dissolve. After I do this I will give it a try to start again with the help of advice received from all of you. Thanks again. Ports

The rubber impregnated cork gasket material should be fine. Originally the sediment bowl had a screen at the top that caught particles. See https://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/p...9329&cat=41707 I will tighten the finger nut that holds the glass bulb with a pair of pliers, being careful not to break anything.
