Default What are these holes under dash for?

Driver side, under starter button. They look factory (and very much like the holes for the dimmer switch on the other side of the column). I might use one of the holes for something else but want to make sure they are not for something else first. Thanks!

Drivers side looking like the dimmer switch holes was for the optional road lamps, aka fog lamps.

Not on a 40. Plus there was no such thing as a super deluxe in 40.

On a 40 it’s on the back of the speedometer.

Nope. But I like the way you think.
Right vs. left hand drive instrument panels are distinct stampings.

Not sure this will help but, the dash on my 40 DeLuxe coupe looks like this.
All holes in the dash are OEM. I have not added any holes but did use a few of the stock holes for an ignition kill toggle switch and installing a 12V push button starter switch under the dash so as to bypass the OEM starter button. The stock starter button isn't connected. The last photo shows the instrument panel dash light dimmer switch almost behind the steering wheel lock.

Your heater switch should be to the right of the steering column.

Thanks, Mike, for that info. I checked your book and on page 5-17, there it is.
When I bought my 40 in 1963, the heater switch was on the left of the dash. I guess it was moved for some reason. Although, it makes sense that the heater switch would be on the right, closer to the heater.

1st photo shows where it's located now. Should it be located where the toggle switch for my fuel pump is now located in 2nd photo - to the right of the dash light dimmer switch.? There was already a hole there so I used it for my fuel pump on/off toggle switch.

It should be where that toggle is but seriously... it works fine where it is. I'd leave it there.
