Got these at an auction. All NOS, so far only one labeled, 81a-. Any early ford wiring harness experts out there?

When not tagged Early Ford harnesses are a bear to ID they are all clearly 1939 and prior.

It probably doesn't matter. If they are old stock they most likely will break the insulation when you bend them anyway.

Just put one of these NOS harnesses on my 38 and can say very, very, very frustrating. Never did get it just right. Should have built my own. Been fooling with flatheads for 65 years and this task was the worst ever.

Usually the insulation will crack or break when they are bent. Chief value in them is the bullet ends, headlight switch and cover and the tube connectors. I use a drill to clean out the bullet connecters and reuse them.

Thanks for the info Jim. Guess maybe they were worth the $1.00 I paid for them.

And that (along with your "handle), answers your original question.

All are different. From all I have researched, seems the way to go is either after market or build your own. If anyone needs one for the parts on them, let me know. $1.00 each plus actual shipping costs. Did not want to see the scrappers get them.I'll also post in for sale.

None shown are 39. 39 would have the high/low beam switch attached & the horn relay.
Those are all earlier
