Ebay used to let you warn buyers directly when this happened but now it's truly buyer beware.

The attached photos show a hood clip made by one of our club members. I have them on both my Model A's. They work on 30, 31 only.

I would hope he meant to say $12.50. and not $125.00.

And he wants $10.50 to ship.

Gotta be something here I am not seeing or understanding.I could understand if two or three guys are in a bidding war for near $130.00 now. I count at least 8 different bidders mayby I will make it nine, must be platinum not chrome, but chrome should be stainless.

When you look at bid history click on the "Show automatic bids" button. Except for the newest bid (got to wonder on that one?) it is the same two bidders from the 60.00 point on bidding.

Here is another version that I use. From Macs - search on hood prop economy kit.

Sorry - link takes you to ecklers corvette page, and was unsuccessful trying to copy in a picture off the Macs site.

When I see something that doesn't make sense on flea-pay, I just ignore it. It always looks like fowl play but a person will never know.

I've had folks tell me that setting too low a price on good quality stuff can be detrimental to sales. I've heard from more than one show vendor that they sold more stuff when the set an equal or higher price than other vendors selling a similar item. It makes no sense but it happens all the time.

It did not sell, the high bidder must have backed out for some reason. Probably claimed the put in the wrong amount on their bid. It has happened to me on a item I was selling. It just runs the bids up and screws the other bidders.
It's been relisted saying "everyone one deserves a second chance".

He most likely has a friend or two, bidding on it to get the price up. And when no one bites after it ends, he relists it and try's again. Just my opinion.

agree with zzlegend-
situations like this always make me suspect shill bidding.

I recall a few years back a Bratton's catalog selling for $6 on eBay.
people don't always do their homework appropriately.

I was thinking the same thing.
List it as new using the exact title he used, put a price of 80.00 free shipping, refer to the ended listing to "justify" your amount, emphases on it being new and drop ship from the vendor without invoice.

The ad title and picture are kinda misleading. Showing the hood and calling out in the title 4 panel hood, wonder how many are bidding because they think the hood is included?
