Default Build date

Hi All,
Just wondering how to go about determining month of build of a early 47 or late 46 Ford coupe?
Thank you in advance for any advice.

Check the date codes on the glass also called bugs the car is usually assembled within a month or two of that date. Page 1-19 in the 41-48 Ford book from the Early Ford V8 Club has info on how to read the bugs. The book also has serial numbers listed. In appendix D it has a list of running changes also.
Using this book I determined my 1941 was built around June 41.
