Check to see if the $99 tire is made with nylon which "flat-spots" when you park it.

Don't know about Coker but I have been running Lucas for over 5 years with no issues if that helps at all.

Nylon cord while it tends to flat spot for a bit of the first mile will hold up longer than other fabrics. There is less chance of blowout. I liked the INSA PREMIER tires for their old original style tread pattern, a much more interesting pattern than the Allstates & Garfield tires even tho they also were an original period tire tread pattern

I would feel a whole lot more comfortable spending a little more money and buying the Lester tires. They're made in the U.S. and that's a bonus to me.

I do not know about the Lucas $99 tires. I picked up a set from Coker at Hershey last year or the year before. They were made in Vietnam. Some of my friends had a big problem with the country of origin.

I have ran three years now with quite old Garfield whitewall tires without problems. I don't know if this brand is manufactured any more...
