Default tires

Time to replace the rubber on my 30 coupe. Who makes the best, price and quality considered. Don't think I need radials.

I use Firestone. But do not have a lot of history on them. Only have about 1500 miles on them but so far so good.

Lesters are nice. They are affordable and I've put them on nearly a dozen cars without a problem. They have a nice rubber compound and give good wet traction in emergencies.

I have Firestone on 2 of my A's and GoodYears on 2 other A's I see no difference other than price. Not that it matters but I get very positive comments often about the GoodYears. If price does not matter go with the GY's and if it does matter I would go with the Firestones.

No personal history with Firestones but I have read several times that the "correct" size Firestone is too big for the fender well. All you need to do is let some air out and carry a tire pump.

I have had excellent performance with Goodyear's with the great looking original diamond tread pattern, and the looks are the best !
Goodyears also fit the sidemounts without need to deflate like in Firestones.

I recently put a set of Lester tires on my tudor. I bought them at Hershey to save on the shipping. I like them better than the firestones I took off. They are quiet, grip the road well, and have a higher load capacity than firestone. So far I am very happy with them. The tread pattern is not correct for fine point cars, but that does not bother me. The price was better than firestone or goodyear.

Just bought some 19" Firestone rubber. They have "Made in USA" on them, so good enough for me. I think they're actually made by Coker, not Firestone though. Can anyone confirm/deny that??

My old Firestone tires have "New Zealand" on the sidewalls.

I have a set of Coker Firestones on my A and also have some old Firestones made in New Zealand. Not sure when the New Zealand tires were made or when Coker started making them.
