Standard Ignition makes some that is almost the same. I have a tube of the GM stuff
I bought at my first mechanics job. That was in 1966. My boss at the time gave me a hard
time for buying such a large tube. He said it would last me the rest of my life with electronic ignition on the horizon. He was right. I still have that tube and it has 3/4 of a tube left in it. If you can't find any, I'll send you a squirt of it......

Cam lube is high temp, also, & "stays" put. Some points had a little felt pad by the rubbing block. I used to "massage" a little cam lube into it, to lube the lobe longer. (Tip# 17)

I remember those points with the pads... They were usually the higher end ones

LUCAS points used to have SOLID TUNGSTEN contacts & lasted well, even the rubbing block lasted well, with GOOD lube.

I'm not a big "fan" of Bosch,..but I've used the Bosch distributor lube for the
past 40+ years with great results. This is on distributors and mag's..and I'm
on the same tube.

We can get cam lube here at the parts stores, my have to wait for it, but, they can get it.

I too remember points with the felt strip. What do I know, I squirt them with oil. But, points didn't move [ wear] like they seem to today.

That's a good deal Vince, this place wants $5326.61 + 9.95 Shipping.

Look on the counter of your favorite parts store, Advanced Auto in this case. A little disposable tube is about a buck.

Like Dodge above, I bought mine when I was in my late teens. My dad worked for a automotive parts jobber and thats what he brought home. Got a big tube and still have lots left. Will last a couple life times.

I asked at Carquest the other day, and the counter guy ended up going in the back and robbing the lube capsule from a set of points. Nice for me, but I bet whoever buys those points will be unhappy!

He could have at least coated the rubbing block with half the grease before he gave it to you.

I'm still on the same small tube I bought in the early 70's.

Pretty special stuff!
Due to lots of recent interest the price has jumped to $5,326.61 Shipping:-$9.95

That just seems like too much to pay.
