Default Tightness of the 2 radiator to frame bolts on my 31 Roadster

Can anyone tell me the proper tightening of the 2 bottom radiator bolts to the frame. These 2 bolts have a coil spring, rubber pad, and castle nuts. Do the castle nuts go on top, or the bottom? Thank You, Stan

This is IMPORTANT! We sometimes forget how MUCH a Model A frame twists over uneven surfaces! Sure don't want to "tweek" your radiator! Sometimes a door can even pop open from frame twist!

I tighten so the "air gap" is less between the coils than what you start with for tension but so there is some gap so it can spring/move.

Friend had a '31 Roadster that the RH door would sometimes pop open. You had to be careful!

Thank You all for your advice. I found that there wasn't any rubber pads between the radiator frame and the front frame on my 31 Ford Roadster. If I hadn't asked for advice from you Ford Barn members, I would just have gone ahead and readjusted the tightness of the castle nut. So Thank You again. Stan
