That is very unfortunate news. Our Prayers are with his family at this sad time.

I received a call about John's passing last evening from the gentleman that likely was the last person who spoke with John. While his loss to the hobby is going to sting for some of us, we can all smile in that John had spent a good portion of his last day on this earth sharing, and helping other Model-A hobbyists with their own projects, ....which is something John was known for. That kindness which he often displayed, -and knowing that John was a 'Believer' gives many of us comfort. Like others, my thoughts & prayers are tendered towards Julie, and the rest of John's family in their devastating loss.

So sorry to hear. I've known John & Julie for over 50 years. We would work together for hours every weekend when he first started rebuilding engines and pouring his own babbit. "Loaned" him my KR Wilson fixtures to compliment the ones he was collecting. Going to Hershey together was an annual trek... and we slept in the back of my pickup truck when hotel rooms weren't to be had. Good times, great memories of a wonderful friend.

You are indeed very fortunate and obviously a friend extraordinaire! Fond memories are a treasure. Wayne
