Re: Okay, now what?
neat old car, but restoring unless your a millionaire is out of the question. There is no old ford pretty much worth restoring these days. Or any other make, unless super rare. There has been much discussion recently on the future of our old car hobby and the growing age of most of us in it. What the in the future lies I don't know. Young - uns [under 40] arn't interested, or very few of them. Spend a bit more and buy a car you can drive, there is always tinkering and personal touches that every new owner makes to make it theirs. my 2 cents cheers Tony.

I'm 38 so barely sneaking in on the under 40 crowd these days! I've been into this hobby since I was 16. Six fords for me already. I've done quite a few body off frame cars over the years (3). I'm in the minority but I'm still out there carrying on the torch. You are correct in that it is expensive and probably not worth it but I enjoy throwing money into the wind! |

pretty much the same here! 38 and been bitten since I was barely tall enough to see out my uncles 32 roadster! my father built a 28 roadster when I was 11-12, i started a couple projects with my brother around then, until he found girls! then we sold the parts and I found a SMOKING deal on 32 coupster body and frame that I bought with lawn money at 14. still an ongoing project but it's not too far off. |
