Default 46 ford hard starting after driving

Complete stock flathead, starts instantly, drives great BUT after driving 5-10 miles and shut off for 10-15mins it starts a little harder and smells like gas. Still starts in 15-20secs but not nearly as quick as when cold. Why gassy smell? Thanks

Let the fun begin. It could be coil, condenser, or carb. Or a combination. These fords are so simple they are complicated. I hope you well, keep asking questions I have no doubt guys will make it right here.
