Model T wiring
I got a new ignition switch and a wire harness. I connected everything and nothing works. Any idea what might be going on? I have doubts checked everything and my wiring seems to be correct. I tried using different switches and still having issues.

Re: Model T wiring
Bet you have the main wire connected to the wrong post on the starter switch.

Re: Model T wiring
I'm getting power to the switch. The main wire is connected to the battery side of the starter switch. None of my accessories will work and no power to coils. Does the ignition switch need to be grounded to something?

Re: Model T wiring
Get your self a VOM and systematically run down each circuit. You can do this with the battery disconnected with the VOM set on OHM's.

Re: Model T wiring
Be careful when probing not to connect any hot wire to the magneto (#2 red wire connection on the terminal block). Even a flash connection can diminish the strength of the magnets.

Re: Model T wiring
I will go over my wiring again. I have a test light and see if everything is getting power. I know the ignition switch is getting power.
