Default '31 Vicky Window Channel HELP needed !

I now have all the rear windows and channels installed in my vicky and I am about to do the doors. in reading the helpful instructions from the Santa Anita club i see that they talk about laying the channel fuzzies on the glass and then placing the window channel equal distance from each channel. My channels are both REPRO and same length as the glass. Does anyone have an original metal glass channel they can measure correct length for me ?

I've installed Victoria repro channels before and did just fine. I use a large open end wrench to open up the channel a little so the glass glides well in it
You can use the hager that come with the kit and also use a little 3m weatherstrip adhesive if you have to as well

the original Victoria door window channel is 27 5/8" long, the front edge of the slide is even with the end of the channel. also when setting the glass there is a spatial rubber for that purpose Bratton`s #31330 good luck with the repro channel, I have not found a real good one yet.

The setting rubber is too thick, so I cut the inside vertical leg off of its channel section. I used vinyl electrical tape on the glass to replace the leg I cutoff. Spray adhesive into the window regulator channel to assure the setting rubber stays put.

Here is the procedure I used to install the door windows:
>Install door OPEN / CLOSE mechanism & test it
>Install window bumper into slot in the door structure at the window opening
>Install window bumper into bracket inside the door structure
>Lubricate the regulator gears with lithium grease
>Lubricate the rollers on the regulator with WD40
>Install window regulator leaving screws loose
>Install front vertical felt channel
>Crank regulator up until rollers match openings in window channel
>Position glass into door window opening, engage front felt channel & snap rollers into channel
>Apply adhesive on metal channel at rear bottom of door & push rear felt channel into it
>Crank window downward a couple of inches to prevent rollers from disengaging
>Lower clip on rear vertical window channel felt is too low & does not align with attachment hole in door structure. Remove & discard bottom clip from rear felt channel
>Feed rear vertical felt window channel into position & engage top clip onto door structure
>Apply adhesive on metal channel at rear bottom of door & push rear felt channel into it
>Test up & down operation of glass
>Install rear felt channel retainer
>Install window molding
>Test operation of window
Photos show the passenger's door. The second photo shows the regulator attached to the window. Do not install it this way. The regulator goes in before the glass.

Thank you everyone. The repro channels are too long and must be cut down . Using the 27 5/8 dimension means that the channel lines up at each end directly below the verticle fuzzy strips. Bob's pictures are a HUGE HELP.
