^^^This. Also, I have been troubled in general that in this and the other thread about crooked engine builders, several people have suggested taking the problem in your own hands and in some cases resorting to or threatening violence. Unless done carefully and with the proper legal backing, such action can turn out very badly for the person perpetrating it,

I'm with you Tubman - it is one thing to call a guy up, go see him and negotiate a "deal" to help with the loss of the money, but the minute you start strong-arming somebody, taking stuff off their walls, etc - now you are the crook . . . and the Police and courts will act accordingly. Whatever you do - make sure it is legal and above board . . . or you may lose a lot more than your $10K!

Also, if it involves "parts" to pay for work never done, you better make sure you have complete documentation - with serial numbers if possible (signed by the giver) - such that you have a leg to stand on if anything ever gets ugly!

Talk to Bert's Model A in Denver, they are good people and might have an answer for you. They have moved to a new location right next to Denver.

I'm sure nobody needs to tell you just how lucky you are! These stories VERY SELDOM ever turn-out on a positive note. I've been in a similar position many years ago with a body shop, and that situation never turned-out well. I'm certainly happy for you, and we certainly appreciate the follow-up, especially with such a good outcome. And you might ought to go out there and purchase a lotto ticket. Did the guy have any final words worth noting? DD

Thanks for posting that back here . . . as reputations do matter in our strange little world and I hope everybody else who has been waiting far too long for Go Cat has their engines delivered and that they are satisfied with the results.

Your recent results don't justify the behavior of Go Cat (4 years to build an engine), but they do at least give some people some "hope" for a positive conclusion.

Let us know how it runs???
