Guess I need to get busy shopping for a 1-3/8 1/2" drive socket.
FWIW, 1-3/8" is the proper size for a Model A, but I've heard that some "crank nuts" are 1-5/16" and the one on my A is 1-1/4".
Not all Model As are created equal.

I'm just curious. Are these Ratchet nuts or just a regular ⅝"-18 bolt used to hold the pulley on? (Which I am using because I have a Murray Balancer).

If you have a fun projects voltage regulator, they warn not to hook up a different voltage to your system.

Not with the engine running. OK to get started, just pull the jumpers right away.

If you're running any electronics and 6 volt system it would be a good idea to avoid 12 volts for boosting unless the starter is isolated.

I learned my lesson back 50 some years ago. I jumped a 48 ford pickup that was 6 volt from a 56 ford 1 1/2 ton truck that was 12 volts. started 48 and got out to unhook jumpers and I think steam from the battery caps was coming out and the spark ignited the gas. It was at night and all I remember was a loud explosion and battery parts and pieces and acid all over me and everything. Lucky my arm took the bulk of the explosion and not my eyes. I'll never do that again.

I wonder why the manufactures of portable car jump starters don’t make one for 6 V. At least I have not found one.

Was responding to FunProjects warning - basically: don't use the wrong voltage regulator. It won't hurt a 6V regulator to jump with 12V if the cables are removed before the generator spins up to nominal voltage.

Insufficient demand.
