Default Coming soon our first A..

First post on this forum. Registered in August 2012 and have looked this forum over but have not had an "A" to talk about.

That changed on Saturday and will have a "new to us" A in our garage soon.

Waiting on estate to have title changed after owners passing.

It is a 1929 Fordor Leatherback. Will post photos once it is on my driveway. We have 1916 Brass touring now.

Just like turning 16, 21 and 25 all over again.

Enjoy this forum a lot.

Thanks, Sam (and I do not like green eggs and ham)

Congrats and welcome! Lots of info here. I'm sure you will find things in the Model T section useful also. Good luck with the car and we're looking forward to pictures!

Waiting is about over. Got word today that seller has probate court order to have title placed in her name. She will do that tomorrow. Then will try to get Bill of Sale on A so I can bring it HOME.. Takes awhile for a title turnaround but we are closer.

When my cell phone rang today, Eleanor came on the run to see if it was good news. She is as excited as I am. Loves checking out the old cars at meets and shows.

THose are one of my favorite body styles.

I have a question, though: I'm not a Model T guy, but I thought the brass T's ended with 1915. No?

I used to think that too, until I bought my coupe. I think on some models they look pretty classy (see avatar).

I'm with you Chris. I like seeing the cars in fine point judging, NO white walls.

On light colored cars whitewalls are not that bad, but on dark colors my eyes are drawn first to the tires then to the car as they "stick out" from the whole car package. Just my opinion.

But it would not be a deal breaker for me as I'd still rather have an A with white walls then no A at all!!

With or without "Whitewalls", that is a very nice car. I have whites on my '29 coupe and blacks on my '31 Fordor, and I like them both.

Congratulations. Your A is a really great looking car. And I really like the Whitewalls. That fits. That's just a matter of taste.
Have allways a safe journey and a lot of fun with our hobby.
Greetings from Switzerland
