The 2012 Palos Verdes Concours d'Elegance, our 20th Year of Exhibition, will be one of our most exciting shows with the theme of "French Curves" that will feature Classic French Coachwork. The 2012 marque will be Delahaye, the French automobile company that manufactured some of the most luxurious and elegant automobiles from the classic era. We will also feature the great French coachbuilders, or carrossiers, that designed gorgeous automobiles that were famous for their graceful, and sometimes flamboyant designs. We will be highlighting automobiles from Frances most famous designers such as Chapron, Pourtout, Figoni et Falaschi, Franay, and Letourneur et Marchand.
The Palos Verdes Concours d'Elegance is also honored to announce that the Grand Marshals for the 2012 Concours are Merl and Peter Mullin, owners of the Mullin Automotive Museum—home to one of the world's foremost collections of classic French automobiles.
In addition to viewing the more than 200 exhibited cars, visitors can see craftsmen at work in Restoration Alley, dine in the elegant Club House, and look at show cars in the display areas. The Concours will be preceded by the ever-popular Pleasure Road Rallye on Saturday, September 15.
