Default Removing 40 interior window trim

I'm taking apart the driver's door on my sedan to repair some damage. I was able to remove the interior door panel but am stuck trying to get the window trim off. All the screws are out and I can pull the right edge of the upper part of the trim out about a half inch. I can't move the left upper part out.
Does the trim come out from the top? It looks as if that's the way to go: tilt the upper part in towards the car and then lift the unit up and out. Are there some clips or catches on the top interior edge that I'll have to clear? I hope someone has done this successfully so I can remove the trim without damaging it.

Push downward on the upper edge and then pull it out. It will drag some as you get it out. It sometimes hangs up on the upper upholstery trim

Dowse......get your fingers under the trim at the bottom. I had a hard time with mine also, but the tabs in the channels sometimes are rusty from the years they have been around. You have to give a good tug on it, but it comes out. Just keep track as to where those tabs are located. I cleaned mine off and shot some teflon on them afterwards. Much easier to take out now.

Good luck.

TJ and Mike,
The trim is out. I looked closely at the top and found it worked to pull the cloth trim out with the window trim until the window trim was free of the door. The I snapped the cloth trim back in to get it out of the way and wiggled out the window trim, lifting it off the two tabs on the door window ledge, keeping the trim at an angle vertical enough to slide off the two tabs but out enough to clear. I kept a sharp lookout to make sure the vent window and its lower rubber gasket cleared the door metal. Thanks for the help!
