Default Remove front seat '40 Fordor

Another newbie question from sunny New Hampshire. I will be installing seat belts in the Fordor and need to access the floor under the front seat. With an adjustable seat you can't just pick up the cushion as you can in a Model A. I'd like to remove the seat, move it out of the way, fit the seatbelts and put it back. I can see the front hold down bolts but can't figure out how to get at the rear bolts. Does the foot rest on the back lower edge of the seat come off to get at the bolts? Thanks, Hunt

You have two bolts on each side under the slide track. They are about 12" apart to be exact. These go through the floor and into a reinforced brace. Once removed from each side, your seat can be removed. Although it will probably be easier to move the seat to the rear of the interior.
The foot rest on the lower rear of the front seat I believe have "tack welds" along with studs holding it into place. No need to remove them. Good luck

Thanks for the info! I didn't see the rear bolts at first. I'll just slide it back to the rear when installing the seatbelts.
