Get yourself a steel repop gas line between the filter and the carburetor. You'll need to buy the two compression nuts for either end too if they're not included (some are.) Copper tubing in this location is prone to crystalization from the vibration/movement of the engine. And with the proximity of that exhaust manifold it would be quite the surprise to suddenly wish you had a fire extinguisher (a good accessory for any antique automobile.) Joe K

Nice truck. The first thing I woulld do is get some of that green paint they use on the Ebay car in another thread and paint it that color, Just kidding LOL. I love it it just the way it is.

WHAT a slick truck! Everyone says to leave as it is........I completely agree. Here in SoCal guys pay BIG money to get that finish.

Repairing the cracks in the original fan depends on the condition.......mainly the amount of rust. If the blades are bulged due to internal rust, then it's best as a wall hanger. I have a couple blades with small cracks that I will weld some day.
