Just bought a engine, the head is embossed ( MODEL A ) is that common ?

“Model A” along the triangular part from the water pump aft, right? I have one of those heads. According to Vince Falter, those came in either 4.2 or 5.2 compression ratio. Mine is a 5.2. You can’t tell unless you remove it and look at the shape of the combustion chamber.

I recall that these heads were made and imported from South America during the last century.
