Default I need a junk flathead generator.

I just finished reading the latest issue of Ol Skool Rodz and it has a tech article on building a flathead fan idler pulley. It states I need up to 1939 generator. Does anyone have one in the Worcester,Mass area that I can come over and buy from you? I am trying to save a little dough on shipping. Of ya and a fan with it would be great. Pm me with pix and a phone number. PS it's for my 59A motor if it makes a difference.

I believe I have a '39 generator in one of my parts bins... might even have a fan blade.

Over fifty years ago I discovered that a '39 generator made a perfect fan mount on a 59AB, etc. engine, when a multiple carb setup is used with a side mount generator..

The advantage to the two brush '39 generator is the fact that they have a front roller bearing on the shaft in lieu of the normal bushing... A drop or two of oil in the oiler cup every now and then is enough to maintain the life of the bearing..

If you enlarge the attached pix of the engine in my '36 I think you will be able to see my fan application...

Why not use your generator, offset on one of the heads, to be your tensioner?
