fender panel padding
So I put the front clip back together on my 47 coupe, and I noticed that the panels behind the grill had some kind of staples going through them where it mated up against the fender for what i assume is some kind of padding. Is this the same stuff as the fender welting, and how does it attach?

Re: fender panel padding
I had felt strips on some and rubber kinda stuff on other pieces. I would think some sorta closed cell foam would be a good substitute.
