Smile Cabriolet

Does anyone know the thickness of the wood of a 29 Cabriolet? I’m talking about the frame wood that attaches to the body than to the metal frame.

It varies but about 1 1/2 inches that gets a little thinner up in the front-if speaking of the sub rails.

From front to back it is
1 1/4" at 0"
then 1 9/16" at 6 3/16"
then 1 11/16" at 8 11/16"
then 2" at 57 31/32"

These dimensions are from the blue prints. It is a very complex piece of wood. The top of the wood is not flat in some areas.

Contact Tom Kruger at [email protected] of the Cabriolet Club and ask for the December 2017 copy of the Cabrioletter, the club newsletter. It has drawings of the wood dimensions both top and side views. It also tells you how to order the prints in larger size.
