Default Got me a new engine

Last Friday my Son came over with my new Flathead engine.
And I thougt it was an English one (Ford Pilot?), but my english friends dont agree? It came with a 36 Tudor that my brother bought.
It does not turn over, so I started with a look under the head's

Have not seen this casting before, but this my first "old" flathead.

Think the gearbox is a 36.

Same heads that are on my Pilot engine...with the cylinder/firing order...I think it will also say "front" as well, have to look at mine again.

Yes; that is definitely a Pilot engine. Only Pilots have those freeze plugs at back of block. 36 gearbox behind it.

Very interesting block. Never saw one with those rear freeze plugs. Also the raised intake surface with the added pad for the ID stamping is interesting. Those just don't make it to the states.
