Shot The Carburator

I used a lazier-gun to shoot the carburator, lines, and fuel-bowl after a 10 mile drive in South Florida weather and found averages of 154 degrees.
When I asked our club about theses figures? They expressed shock.
Now, I'm not experencing a problem, I just like an opinion. What is your information about the temps?

I think you mean you aimed an infrared temperature sensor or gun at the carb, lines etc. to see how hot they get.

Exhaust manifold heat is transferred to the intake manifold to control icing and aide combustion. Look where Ford bolted the manifolds together, its a good sized transfer area.

Often the complaints of vapor lock and fuel boiling in the carb can be traced to improper timing creating high exhaust temperatures which are transferred.
