Petehoovie, your photographed Mossie is the only flying example in the world, rebuilt here in NZ, photographed at its debut airshow in my hometown of Masterton, see here;

Don't forget the role Packard played in improving the Merlin engine for the Mustang....

Re: off topic barnfind
Here is a good collection of Merlins I have been inside that Lancaster at a visit it did to our museum watched it take off pretty cool. That mosquito in Pete's post is kept with that Lancaster in Ontario.. Lots of Merlins in this video. All in Canada. (Some mosquitoes were made in Canada)

Re: off topic barnfind
I have been privileged to see both Bob Jens' and the FHCAM Mosquitos fly... beautiful airplanes.
Pity that the FHCAM is mothballing all of their aircraft for long term storage or ? |

Re: off topic barnfind
I know, I KNOW! And I am sorry....I have a hard time keeping those straight. Again, my most-sincere apologies! The term I was looking for was "Mossie", an affectionate nickname given the Mosquito by RAF blokes during The War. DD |
