Default '55 T-bird Wheels

My '55 T-Bird came with 14" wheels and covers from a '57. I would like to sell them and put on some American Torque Thrust's on it. Their website list's both 16 and 17" that fit.

I know about those, but I am wondering if anyone knows if the 17" Bullet wheels off an early 2000's Mustang GT will fit. It has the original drum brakes.

I tried some on my '56 Vickie, but they would not fit it, because of the disc brake calipers and a steering knuckle. Too much backset.

Anyone try these on a T-Bird?? Probably too wide, but it can't hurt to ask?

Thanks, again,

Rick
