Default Zenith carb. Adjusting needle seat

I am in the process of assembling a Zenith carburetor that uses a removable brass seat and I need to know if a fiber gasket is used under the brass seat. I have read some rebuild articles and most say NOT to use a gasket but another well respected author says to use a fiber gasket. What is the proper way to reassemble? Thank you for any input.

Issues with the GAV brass needle seat: 1) With a gasket under the seat, it becomes easier to jam the GAV needle into the seat so that it unscrews; 2) With no gasket under the seat, the brass seat may become jammed into the lower body casting.
In any event, if there's a brass GAV needle seat, care needs to exercised when closing the GAV, so as not to run the needle hard into the seat.

I may have learned something here. I have taken quite a few Zeniths but I have never seen a washer in there. Could somebody post a picture of the assembly? Thanks

Site Index (Model-A.org) go to Gas Adjusting Valve (GAV) and seat is your answer. Thanks to web supplier for info. it says washer but should be gasket
