Default 1936 Ford Pines trim kit

Can anyone share the history of the Pines trim kit they offered for 1936 Fords. I've seen them on a few cars, not sure if I like them or not, but they are different. Anyone seen one of these fro sale, about how much are they worth or are they super rare and valuable. Seems there were three horizontal chrome strips, plus grill lacing for the top of the hood sides. I'd love to see an original advertisement for them. Any info appreciated, thank you!

Mercman, Isn't the winter front a different animal than the trim?

Ford38V8, You are probably right. I have never seen a 36 in Australia with this Trim, however, when I looked up Google, some pictures of this trim appeared? that is what I was going by, but obviously, I was mislead?

Anybody know what the value of this kit would be in good used condition?

Kiwi Tony, a member here on the FordBarn has a RHD '36 ForDor Sedan with the Pines Trim Kit on it. The car, like Tony, came from the "land down under". If you contact him I'm sure he can provide additional information.

Got to agree, long thought that about the Pines trim on the 36s.

Personally I'm not that keen on the other Pines stuff, the Winterfront grilles people go bonkers for. Ford got the styling so right on these models that anything else looks heavy handed.

Mart.

Clearly, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. If I had a '36, I'd want the Pines trim on it.
