Default Roadster v Coupe Body Work

I'm finishing up some body work on my 30 Roadsters quarter panels and finalizing the various radii on the front sections of the rear panels. Am I ok to assume that the radii of a coupe and roadster should be the same? I haven't been able to find any measurements for the exact shape of these panels But I do have a complete coupe sitting next to this body in my garage. Can I use these measurements off of the coupe to make my radius gauges?

If you have good roadster doors I'd be more inclined to use them to get the required shape as that's what the quarters are eventually going to align with. The quarters from the coupe are quite a bit shorter front to back than the roadster ones - forget for sure how much but about 4-5 inches comes to mind.

Hello they use the same rear fenders, but final fitting will be with the doors against the rear quarter panels, usually done with shimming the body blocks. Do a search for aligning roadster body.

The belt line is shorter on open cars. The doors are narrow compared to Coupes. In order to make the same deck lid work, it sets on a lower angle than a Coupe.

The difference is less on the 1930/31 cars than it is on the 1928/29 cars but is still different.
