Default Window Frame Removal ???

1948 Tudor Sedan. How do I remove the interior front door window frames? I removed the door and window handles, the 4 screws holding the upper trim to the door, and "popped" the 8 or so lower trim clips from the door panel. How do I remove the upper trim piece in order to remove the door panel itself? Did a search and found nothing. Many thanks!!!

On my 41 there are screws around the frame of the door that hold the window frame in and then the frame pulls out towards the inside of the car. The vent window rubber will make it hard to pull out especially if its brittle. I assume the 48 is the same.

No door frames required to remove the windshield.

I'm trying to remove the interior frame from the door; not the windshield. This is the upper frame that is attached to the door and held in place by 4 screws and ......... ?? This frame sets over the upper part of the door panel.

From the top of the 'window frame' pull down and out [ towards you]. Make sure the vent window lock is slid over so it is not interfering.

Many thanks Bob T! That's the info tidbit I was looking for. As I was trying to remove the frame (then the door panel), I just wasn't exactly sure what the final step was; having never done it before. I was afraid of breaking some hidden piece, so I didn't use force for the final removal. Again, many thanks for the knowledgeable folks on this forum!!! I'm guessing that reinstallation might be a little tricky also. Any hints??

I've done this a million times until I fixed my window winder mechanism. The glass was always jamming in the down position. I always found it easier to open the vent window when taking it out and putting it back in. When you put it back clearing the vent rubber is the hardest thing. I found by getting the window nearly in and the grabbing a small screwdriver and working from the outside I just worked around the rubber pulling out over the lip of the window apperature until it was seated fully in position. I then replaced the screws. You might need to pull the ends of the window rubber out of the frame to make it fit then once it is fully seated push it back in with the screwdriver. I can bloody near do this with my eyes shut now.
