Default Looking for photo of a stop light switch installed in a 31.

My dad is looking for a photo of a stop light switch installed in a 31 Model A. I would appreciate if anyone had a photo they would be willing to share.

We can find photos of the part isolated, but not installed.

This is the diagram from Service Bulletins. Switch mounts to frame center cross member. Look for 3 holes in line with the brake pedal. 2 of these holes will match the hole pattern on the switch, and center hole is for the plunger to protrude through. The brake pedal to cross shaft has a round flat foot on the end which the switch plunger bumps up against. When the brake pedal is depressed, the plunger can move forward and circuit is closed.

The electrical screws are towards running board, I just installed one, twisted and turned it until it fit. Under the car on your back ain't much fun, oh by the way...... I used a stick to push the brake pedal down and hold it away from the switch, found that out after crawling out from under the car umpteenth time

Is this the Service Bulletin you are referring to? https://www.amazon.com/Model-Ford-Se...=UTF8&qid=&sr=

Yes this is the complete book of Service Bulletins https://www.amazon.com/Model-Ford-Se...=UTF8&qid=&sr=

Another helpful guide is the Model A Restoration Guidelines and Judging Standards which is very helpful even if you are not restoring your car for show. Without this book I would have never figured out which wiper motor was correct for my 31 coupe.

Just piping up to remind everyone that you can get the Service Bulletins as a searchable PDF file. Also nice to be able to zoom in on the text, for those of us with older eyes.

Where do you get the PDF version? The MAFCA site has the hard copy.
