Default '39 Mercury 4dr raffle

I was just wondering if the '39 Mercury raffle drawing was held yesterday ?

Or is the raffle yet to be held ? Just curious...

Yes, the raffle drawing has taken place, and the winners name was written on a bulletin board at the Foundation's Hershey spaces when I stopped there yesterday. I don't recall the winners name though.

John, I tried to get you to buy another ticket last Thursday! It might have been a winner.

I would bet they will since these raffles have been good money makers for the Foundations building fund for the new addition now under construction.

Indiana law allows one raffle per year, if I remember correctly. The winner took the cash! So, we still have the mercury! I have been told that 60% of cash winnings goes for taxes or you pay tax on the prize.

Well, I would rather have the Mercury than the money, It would look good next to my all stock '51 Mercury and my hotrod '30 coupe on the other side. "Crazy 'bout a Mercury"
