Default 40 convert wing window seal

On the 40 convert there is a rubber seal strip that seals the wing window frame to the door where the frame passes through the door slot. Does the seal wrap around the wing window to seal the outside as well as the inside or if not, how is the wing window sealed on the inside of the frame? Thanks for for looking.

offy-- the seal is supposed to be formed u shaped like original. drake makes it that way. carpenter doesn`t. he gives you a straight piece and hopefully you can bend it around and it will stay there . to get the right piece you will have to buy a vent window kit from drake as i don`t think he sells it separately. if you find a source that sells the proper ones separately let us know cause i need some too.

I did purchase a vent wing kit from Drake but the seal that was in the kit was about half as long as it needs to be if it is to wrap around as you indicate. I did find some material that might work that is windshield material for 1926 to 31 windshield frame seal (closed car). The cross section is a bit different and shorter but I'm going to give it a try. Thanks for your help and have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!

looks like the 26/31 windshield seal will work good, it fits a bit tight but the round bead looks good and makes a nice seal.
