Re: Still sober
I'm very proud of anyone who shakes an addiction! It takes courage and intestinal fortitude beyond most peoples comprehension. As many have said you just got to stick with it and never give up !I think it becomes easier when you see how much better it is for you and those around you.! Congratulations,Craig and all you "quitters"

Re: Still sober
10 days and I will be at 17 without a drop. Pretty good at 38 I spent more time after 21 sober than I did before I was 21. But I wouldn't change a thing clear mind and clear thoughts. Haven't been able to stop with my skoal yet though.

Re: Still sober
Well I have lived with alcohol in moderation for 50 years.
Now i have a drink on my own because most of my mates go to AA now. Sorry saga that they could not control their drinking when younger. Nothing wrong with a social drink. |

Re: Still sober
I’ve seen more harm than good come from alcohol abuse....
I applaud you all in your achievement and decision not to let ruin your life and the lives of those around you..

Re: Still sober
I was driving along in Texas over 30 years ago when I saw the saddest sign I think I have ever seen.
It was above a beer joint saying " we cash pay checks " |

Re: Still sober
Congratulations to all who have given up "nasty habits" including myself. Was a pack a day man from teens to 1998 when my wife died of lung cancer from smoking, Pretty sad wake up call ! Never was attracted to liquor but enjoy a beer or small glass of wine with the lady now and then. Did not realize how offensive cig smoke was till I quit and smell it when going into a grocery or other stores where people use tobacco around the entry ways.
