Question wide wires

GOOD evening guys
I would like to put wire wheels on my 36 Tudor. So far I can find plenty
of 16 x 4 ford wheels no problem. Most at a decent price, but I would like to run at least 8's in the rear and 4 in the front. I've seen wide wires on cars, but I can't seem to find anyone that widens them. Some of the
newer ones don't even make A wheel for the 5.5 pattern.

I guess my question should be - How can I widen my wire wheels.

A 1936 Ford car should have had wide 5 wheels (10 1/4" bolt circle), and
there are NO wire wheels made for a wide 5 bolt circle.
Your '36 car must have been converted to the 5.5 bolt circle.

Check with Rally America in CA. (Gary Mclean) They are the wire wheel people.

Also post your question on HAMB as that group might have better information on what you are trying to do.

There is a company located in NJ that will widen the 32 to 35 Ford 5 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern wire wheels. Can't recall their name, but someone here should know.

These guys are a long ways away from you, but they have done what you're after, assuming it's pre-1936 wires you want to use:

How far is it from your house to Stockton Wheel? Have you checked with them?
